Planning Matters

Part of the remit of LDCS is to monitor local planning applications, and to write to Midlothian Council on issues which could adversely affect our Conservation Areas and the amenity of Lasswade District.

We continue to be extremely concerned about the large number of new houses planned in Midlothian and their effect on the amenity of Lasswade District both in terms of the increase in traffic on the roads through Lasswade and on the Lasswade Bridge and between Loanhead and the Wadingburn Junction, and the increased pressure on community facilities.
